This global leader in pharmaceutical therapies aimed to switch a prescription hypertension drug to over-the-counter (OTC) status, expanding access to a broader patient population.
The critical challenge was designing a drug label that met FDA standards for comprehension, content accuracy, and formatting, while ensuring accessibility for diverse users. The label needed to clearly communicate dosage, safety information, and warnings, empowering consumers to manage their hypertension without direct physician oversight.
The user-validated solution included an in-store kiosk for physical measurements, tailored to any of three personas (patients, caregivers, administrators), as well as a companion app for doctors to review patient profiles and an administrator app to see correlation between ‘algorithm’ for use and physician review. Finally, the solution was offered on a digital platform ready to support additional therapeutic areas in the future.
